On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific player, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence in their chances of being the top batter. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to reflect the latest information and collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The top batter will be determined by the official match statistics, specifically the player who scores the most runs in the entire innings for their respective team. The resolution will be based on the official scorecard and verified against credible public sources. Any ties will be resolved according to the official tournament rules, which will be considered in determining the final outcome of this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could significantly move the market. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or key player form could also trigger shifts in sentiment. Furthermore, major events during the match itself, such as early wickets or exceptional batting performances, will likely cause rapid adjustments to the probabilities as traders react to the unfolding events and reassess the likelihood of each player being named top batter.
