Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Indonesia and Sri Lanka scheduled for 2026-09-02 in T20 Asia Cup, Women. The outcome corresponding to Indonesia will be considered correct if Indonesia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Sri Lanka will be considered correct if Sri Lanka is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probability of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can express that belief by trading on Polymarket, potentially driving the odds in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market is entirely driven by supply and demand – if more traders buy shares in one outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic process creates a constantly updating forecast.

This market resolves around Sep 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially recorded result of the toss in the Indonesia vs Sri Lanka match. The platform will verify the outcome against trusted sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player form, potential weather conditions impacting the match, or even shifts in public sentiment could lead to changes in the odds. Unexpected announcements related to team lineups or playing conditions could also trigger significant movement. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants could temporarily shift prices, creating opportunities for arbitrage or speculative trading before the toss occurs.
