This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Rwanda and Botswana scheduled for September 8 2026 at 3:30 AM ET in T20 Africa Continent Cup. The outcome corresponding to Rwanda will be considered correct if Rwanda is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Botswana will be considered correct if Botswana is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, allows traders to express their own beliefs, potentially leading to odds that more accurately reflect the true probability of each outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the available data. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, as the price adjusts with each trade.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome being correct. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand; there are no external factors influencing the odds beyond the actions of traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the coin toss before the T20 Africa Continent Cup match between Rwanda and Botswana. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the toss, as announced by the match officials. The platform will verify the result against widely available information to ensure accuracy and transparency for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding the playing conditions, potential weather impacts, or even perceived advantages one team might have could sway traders’ opinions. Updates on player form or potential changes to team lineups could also play a role. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could trigger significant price movements. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either Rwanda or Botswana winning the toss has the potential to move this market before it resolves.
