Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit by balancing action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it may indicate an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both venues. However, it’s important to consider factors like differing market liquidity and potential biases when comparing the two.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand from traders on Polymarket, and is influenced by news, analysis, and any other information participants believe is relevant to the Syksa vs. Prylepa match.
