On Polymarket and Kalshi, this market can show price gaps because of differing user bases, liquidity levels, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more Australian fans, skewing its odds toward a favorite, while the other could reflect a global audience. Volume disparities also play a role — low trading activity can amplify small bets, pushing prices away from each other. Additionally, each venue applies its own fee structure and order-matching rules, which influence how prices adjust over time.
