This market tracks the total combined goals scored by Switzerland and Canada during the second half of their FIFA World Cup match on June 24, 2026, with separate outcomes for whether the total exceeds 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, or 3.5 goals.
Resolution is based on the combined goal total scored by both Switzerland and Canada during the second half only, measured from the start of the second half through the end of stoppage time. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the total goals exceed the specified threshold (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, or 3.5 goals respectively). Goals scored during the first half do not count. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than two weeks away, the market will resolve to a fair price in accordance with the rules.
Prediction market odds reflect real money at stake, which often incorporates information faster than traditional analyst forecasts. While sports analysts may publish pre-match scoring projections based on team form and historical data, this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who have financial incentive to price outcomes accurately. Comparing the implied probability from current odds to published expert predictions can reveal where the market consensus diverges from conventional analysis, offering insight into which view the trading community finds more compelling.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes on the second-half total. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the market's aggregate belief in that outcome, with higher prices indicating stronger conviction. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, the bid-ask spread adjusts dynamically, allowing you to enter or exit positions at the prevailing market rate.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the Switzerland vs Canada match concludes and the second-half goal total is finalized. The outcome will be confirmed against credible public reporting of the final score. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new developments unfold during the match. Resolution occurs automatically once the verified result is available and the platform processes the settlement.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star players, official lineups announced before kickoff, and early match momentum once play begins. Goals scored in the first half can shift expectations for second-half scoring patterns, as can tactical adjustments or red cards. Weather conditions, venue factors, and any late-breaking roster changes may also influence trader positioning. Real-time match events—such as a team going down a goal or a goalkeeper injury—typically trigger sharp repricing as traders reassess the likelihood of second-half scoring.
