Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than fixed bookmaker pricing. Sportsbooks adjust odds to manage liability and lock in margins, while prediction markets aggregate thousands of independent traders betting their own capital. For the Switzerland vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina second half, comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbooks reveals whether the crowd is more or less confident than professional oddsmakers. These differences can highlight value opportunities or consensus shifts that sportsbooks have not yet repriced.

On Polymarket, the Switzerland vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina second half result is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move continuously based on order flow and liquidity; higher prices indicate stronger trader conviction in that outcome. The current price reflects the implied probability the market assigns to each result. As match conditions change or new information emerges, traders adjust positions, causing prices to shift in real time until market resolution at Jun 18, 2026.

The market resolves at Jun 18, 2026, marking the end of the second half and final whistle of the match. Resolution is determined by the official result recorded at that time. The second half outcome encompasses all events from the 46th minute through the final whistle, including any injury time added by the referee. Once the match concludes and the official result is confirmed, the market settles based on which outcome occurred, and traders' positions are finalized according to the winning shares they held.

Key catalysts include team news and lineup announcements, which alter perceived strength and tactical approach. Early first-half performance—goals, injuries, or red cards—will shift second-half expectations significantly. Weather conditions, pitch state, and referee assignments can influence play style and scoring likelihood. Betting syndicate activity or large trades on Polymarket may signal informed positioning. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and injury updates released closer to kickoff will drive trader repositioning. Any dramatic first-half events, such as a team going down to ten players, typically trigger sharp repricing of second-half odds.
