Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. For this market, comparing the current odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether the crowd on prediction markets is more or less bullish than professional oddsmakers. Both sources offer valuable signals, but they rarely align perfectly.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into continuous probability estimates. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade against the pool, and the ratio of shares determines the odds at any moment. As traders buy or sell, the price adjusts in real time, reflecting the collective belief about who will win. This mechanism ensures liquidity and transparency throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the Swiss Open match between Collignon and Sonego concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. Real-time updates during warm-ups or practice sessions often trigger sharp price moves as new information reaches the market.
