This market concerns the outcome of the second set in a professional tennis match between Suzan Lamens and Dalma Galfi during the 2026 Berlin Qualification Round 1 on June 13. The market will resolve based on which player wins that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 of the match. If the match does not commence due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation before play begins, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes (within two weeks). In the event of a player retirement, markets that can be definitively settled based on completed play will resolve accordingly; those that cannot be unconditionally determined will resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders wagering real money on their beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets frequently incorporate breaking news and live match dynamics faster than traditional sportsbooks adjust their lines. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where informed traders see value or where public perception may be mispriced.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit buy and sell orders at their chosen odds. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent trade executed and the current spread between the best bid and ask. As more traders participate, the odds adjust to balance supply and demand. Higher trading volume typically narrows the spread and increases price stability, making it easier to enter or exit positions at fair rates.
This market resolves around Jun 15, 2026, once the second set of the Lamens vs Galfi match concludes. The outcome is determined by verifying which player wins the set against credible public reporting of the match result. Traders holding positions on the winning outcome receive their payout, while positions on the losing outcome expire worthless. Resolution is automatic once the match result is confirmed and published through official tennis records.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Player injury announcements or withdrawal news would trigger sharp repricing. Recent form updates, head-to-head records, and court surface conditions all influence trader sentiment. Live match developments—such as the outcome of the first set or early momentum in set two—typically cause significant price swings as new information becomes available. Media coverage, betting patterns on other platforms, and changes in player ranking or seeding can also move the odds as traders reassess their edge.
