Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' that can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe 'Sunderland and Arsenal have 4 or more total cards?' is likely, the price will move accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there's inside information or a nuanced understanding of the game dynamics influencing traders.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of 'Sunderland and Arsenal have 4 or more total cards?' occurring. As more people buy shares, the price increases, indicating higher confidence. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, leading to dynamic price adjustments. This contrasts with fixed-odds betting, where the odds are set in advance and don’t change based on subsequent trading activity.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final card count from the Sunderland versus Arsenal match will be used to determine if four or more total cards were issued. The official match report will serve as the source for this information. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out based on the final market price at resolution. It’s important to monitor the game and any potential factors that could influence the number of cards shown.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. News regarding key player suspensions or injuries for either Sunderland or Arsenal could significantly impact the expected physicality of the match, and therefore the number of cards. A referee with a known tendency to issue more or fewer cards than average could also move the market. Even pre-game analysis predicting a particularly aggressive or defensive tactical approach from either team could influence trader behavior. Any late-breaking news related to player form or team strategy could lead to shifts in the price of shares.
