If Sturm Graz scores more goals, that market resolves Yes. If Heart of Midlothian scores more goals, that market resolves Yes. Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders competing for profit, creating a crowd-sourced probability estimate. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information and can shift rapidly as new data emerges, whereas sportsbooks adjust less frequently. For this market, comparing the implied probability to pregame sportsbook spreads can reveal whether traders are pricing in factors the books may have initially undervalued or overvalued.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit buy and sell orders for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the last traded price; as new orders flow in, the price adjusts to clear supply and demand. Traders profit by correctly predicting the first-half winner, and the market price converges toward the true probability as the match approaches. Wider bid-ask spreads indicate lower liquidity, while tighter spreads suggest active trading and confidence in the price discovery process.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the first half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team holds the lead when the referee signals the end of the first 45 minutes (plus any added time). A tie at halftime would also be a valid outcome if neither team is ahead. Resolution occurs shortly after the match event is officially confirmed, allowing traders to settle their positions based on the verified result.
Several factors can shift prices before the match begins and during the first half. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—often triggers sharp moves as traders reassess win probabilities. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form updates can also influence sentiment. Once play starts, early goals, red cards, or momentum swings will drive rapid repricing as traders update their forecasts in real time. Betting syndicates and sharp money flowing into one side can accelerate moves, while casual traders may react to commentary or social media narratives, adding volatility to the market.
