Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering odds that differ from conventional betting sites. It’s common to see prediction markets aggregate information and wisdom of the crowd more effectively than sportsbooks, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the event. Analyzing both can provide a more comprehensive view.
