This market will resolve according to how much "Street Fighter" Opening Weekend Box Office will gross domestically on its opening weekend. The "Daily Box Office Performance" figures found on the "Box Office" tab on this movie's The Numbers (https://www.the-numbers.com/) page will be used to resolve this market once the values for the 3-day opening weekend (October 16 - 18) are final (i.e., not studio estimates). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Please note, this market will resolve according to the The Numbers figures provided under Weekend Box Office Performance for the 3-day weekend (which typically includes Thursday's previews), regardless of whether domestic refers to only the USA, or to USA and Canada, etc. If there is ambiguity as to whether the resolution source's figures are final, this market will remain open until both https://www.boxofficemojo.com/ and https://www.the-numbers.com/ have confirmed their finalized figures. If there is no final data available by October 23, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, another credible resolution source will be chosen.

Currently, prediction market participants are indicating a high probability that the Street Fighter opening weekend box office will exceed certain thresholds. This contrasts with some initial analyst forecasts, which were more conservative in their projections. While specific analyst numbers vary, the general consensus before the market opened suggested a potentially lower range than what is currently priced in by traders on Polymarket. It’s important to remember that prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group, while analyst forecasts represent individual opinions and models.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the Street Fighter box office potential. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price discovery process allows for a dynamic and responsive valuation based on real-time information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official opening weekend box office numbers for Street Fighter are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on independently audited box office revenue figures released by a reputable source. Traders will be able to see the final results and whether their predictions were accurate once the data is officially available. The market’s outcome will be determined by the actual reported box office revenue, not by any pre-release estimates or projections.
Several factors could influence the movement of this market before it resolves. Positive or negative critical reviews of the film could significantly impact audience expectations and ticket sales. Unexpected marketing campaigns or viral social media trends could also generate increased interest. Furthermore, any news regarding competitor releases during the same weekend could shift attention and affect the Street Fighter box office numbers. Finally, pre-sale ticket data, if released, could provide an early indicator of potential opening weekend performance and cause shifts in trading activity on Polymarket.
