If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the collective belief of informed traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of prediction markets. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional sportsbooks, as they are continuously updated by traders reacting to news and analysis.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the potential result of the Stjarnan vs. IBV match.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Stjarnan vs. IBV match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the governing sports authority, ensuring a transparent and objective determination. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially verified and reported.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Sep 6, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, team form, or tactical changes could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions or referee announcements might also play a role. Furthermore, significant betting activity or analysis from prominent football experts could impact the market.
