This market refers to the StarCraft II match between SKillous and Mixu in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 12:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "SKillous" if SKillous win the match against Mixu. This market will resolve to "Mixu" if Mixu win the match against SKillous. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price esports events through different mechanisms. Sportsbooks rely on oddsmakers and risk management teams to set lines, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market reflects crowdsourced expectations from participants willing to stake capital on outcomes. Comparing the two can reveal where professional bookmakers and decentralized traders diverge on perceived probability, offering insight into which side may hold an information edge on this particular matchup.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares tied to specific outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong consensus, with the market pricing in a high implied probability for that result. As new match details, player performance data, or bracket information surfaces, traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift. Liquidity and trading volume determine how quickly prices respond to new information and how tight the bid-ask spread remains.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual performance of both competitors during their best-of-three series in Group D. Resolution hinges on which player wins the required number of maps to take the match. Traders should monitor official tournament broadcasts and results to track progress toward settlement.
Several factors may shift prices before resolution. Recent tournament performances, map pool updates, or patch changes affecting unit balance could alter perceived matchup dynamics. Player statements, injury reports, or roster changes would carry weight in the esports context. Live match commentary and early map results will likely trigger sharp repricing as traders gain concrete information. Unexpected upsets or dominant performances in earlier Group D games may also influence how traders assess the relative strength of both competitors heading into their encounter.
