This market refers to the StarCraft II match between SKillous and BabyMarine in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 1:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "SKillous" if SKillous win the match against BabyMarine. This market will resolve to "BabyMarine" if BabyMarine win the match against SKillous. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For esports events like this one, sportsbook coverage may be limited or unavailable, making prediction markets a primary source of real-time probability estimates. Comparing this market's odds to any available sportsbook lines can reveal whether traders are pricing in factors bookmakers overlook or underweight.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The match result—whether determined by map wins, overall series victory, or other relevant metrics—will be assessed against authoritative esports records and broadcast data. Resolution occurs after the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D match concludes and the winner is officially documented, ensuring all trades settle based on the actual competitive outcome.
Several factors may shift odds before this market resolves. Recent player performance, roster changes, or injury announcements affecting either competitor could reshape trader expectations. Pre-match commentary from analysts, community sentiment on social media, and historical head-to-head records may influence positioning. Map pool composition and patch updates to the game itself can alter strategic dynamics. Additionally, any official statements from HomeStory Cup organizers regarding format or scheduling could prompt repricing as traders adjust their assessments of likely outcomes.
