This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Shino and HolyHit in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A, initially scheduled for July 3 at 10:15AM ET. This market will resolve to "Shino" if Shino win the match against HolyHit. This market will resolve to "HolyHit" if HolyHit win the match against Shino. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds based on their internal models and risk management, then adjust them to balance action. Prediction markets, by contrast, derive odds from continuous trading by many participants with real money at stake. This market reflects decentralized consensus rather than a single bookmaker's view, often capturing sharp insights and late-breaking information faster than conventional betting venues.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome's price represents the probability traders assign to that result. As new information emerges—player form, patch updates, or pre-match analysis—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. The spread between bid and ask reflects liquidity and uncertainty at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final result of the best-of-three series: whichever player wins two maps advances and is recorded as the victor. Resolution occurs after the event is officially confirmed through tournament broadcasts or verified esports reporting.
Several factors may shift odds before the match begins. Recent tournament results, player streaming performance, and community analysis of current meta trends can influence trader sentiment. Patch notes or balance changes to StarCraft II units may favor one player's style over the other. Pre-match interviews, roster announcements, or injury or unavailability news could also trigger significant repricing. Live map selection and early game momentum during the series itself will drive the most dramatic moves.
