This market refers to the StarCraft II match between sebesdes and Lorimbo in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B, initially scheduled for July 3 at 3:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "sebesdes" if sebesdes win the match against Lorimbo. This market will resolve to "Lorimbo" if Lorimbo win the match against sebesdes. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital to express their beliefs. Sportsbooks may adjust lines based on liability, whereas prediction markets aggregate dispersed information through continuous price discovery. For esports events like this match, prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper odds because specialized traders focus intensely on competitive gaming outcomes that mainstream sportsbooks may underprice or avoid entirely.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome—Games Total: O/U 2.5—reflects the aggregate belief of all market participants about whether the match will extend beyond two games. As traders place orders, the price adjusts in real time; higher demand for one outcome pushes its price up and implied probability higher. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures that the market price incorporates new information, expert analysis, and shifting expectations throughout the lead-up to the event.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B match between the two players concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the final score and match result as reported by official tournament coverage and esports databases. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges—such as player form, recent tournament results, or bracket developments—that might shift expectations about the likely winner and match length.
Several factors could shift prices before the match begins. Recent tournament performances by either player, roster changes, or public statements about preparation and strategy may influence trader confidence. Hardware or connectivity issues affecting either competitor could surface in practice or pre-match commentary. Bracket positioning within HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B, head-to-head records, and map pool analysis often drive esports trading. Additionally, community sentiment on streaming platforms and social media, expert predictions from casters or analysts, and any last-minute roster or coaching announcements can trigger rapid repricing as new information reaches the market.
