This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Reynor and Shino in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A, initially scheduled for July 3 at 8:15AM ET. This market will resolve to "Reynor" if Reynor win the match against Shino. This market will resolve to "Shino" if Shino win the match against Reynor. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets let traders directly stake capital on outcomes they believe will occur. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants willing to risk real money, which can sometimes reveal insights that differ from conventional betting lines, particularly in niche esports matchups where sportsbook coverage is limited.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the aggregate confidence in that outcome; as more capital flows toward one player, their share price rises and the implied probability adjusts upward. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to new information, tournament developments, or shifts in player assessment right up until resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the result of the best-of-three series; whichever player wins the majority of games advances and settles the market accordingly. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the broadcast ends, allowing traders to see confirmed results before positions are finalized.
Several factors can shift odds before the match begins. Recent tournament performances, head-to-head records, and player form in practice or qualifying rounds often influence trader sentiment. Map pool announcements and player commentary on strategy can also trigger repricing. Injury reports, roster changes, or unexpected roster announcements in the broader esports scene may affect confidence in either competitor. Closer to the event, live pre-match analysis and expert predictions can accelerate trading volume and shift implied probabilities as new context emerges.
