Description

This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Reynor and HolyHit in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A, initially scheduled for July 3 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Reynor" if Reynor win the match against HolyHit. This market will resolve to "HolyHit" if HolyHit win the match against Reynor. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Reynor vs HolyHit StarCraft II match displays real-time odds and price history as traders buy and sell shares tied to match outcomes. You can monitor current implied probabilities, recent trading activity, and historical price movements to see how market sentiment has shifted. The interface also shows liquidity depth and allows you to place orders across available outcome contracts. This live data helps you track how the community is pricing each possible result leading up to the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A event.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines based on professional oddsmakers and risk management, while prediction markets like Polymarket aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper odds on niche esports matchups where sportsbook coverage is limited. However, sportsbooks may adjust faster to breaking news or lineup changes. Comparing both sources helps you identify value and understand whether this market is pricing the outcome more bullishly or bearishly than the broader betting market.

On Polymarket, traders set the price of each outcome contract through an automated market maker and order book, with the current price reflecting the implied probability of that result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares that trade at higher prices indicate stronger community conviction in that outcome. You can buy or sell fractional shares at any time before the market closes, and the price adjusts dynamically based on order flow and liquidity. This continuous repricing mechanism means odds can shift rapidly if new information emerges about either player's form or tournament circumstances.

This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which player wins the best-of-three series in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A stage. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution process typically completes within hours of the final game, allowing quick settlement and capital redeployment to other markets.

Several catalysts can shift odds before resolution. Recent tournament results or head-to-head records between the two players often trigger repricing as traders update their confidence. Roster changes, player statements, or injury news can also move the market significantly. In-game performance during earlier rounds of HomeStory Cup XXIX may reveal form or build momentum. Analyst commentary and community discussion on esports forums can influence trader sentiment. Additionally, map pool announcements or patch changes affecting unit balance could alter strategic matchup dynamics, prompting traders to reassess win probabilities.
