This market refers to the StarCraft II match between MacSed and Cyan in the Douyu Cup Group B, initially scheduled for June 26 at 2:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "MacSed" if MacSed win the match against Cyan. This market will resolve to "Cyan" if Cyan win the match against MacSed. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets let traders freely set prices based on their beliefs about the outcome. For this StarCraft II matchup, comparing the implied probability on Polymarket to published esports betting lines can reveal where professional oddsmakers and the crowd disagree, potentially highlighting value or consensus breakdowns.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one competitor's victory, and the combined price of all shares always equals one dollar. As more traders back MacSed or Cyan, their respective share prices move inversely, creating a continuous price discovery process that reflects evolving expectations about who will win this best-of-three bout.
This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the best-of-three series under standard StarCraft II competition rules. Resolution hinges on the official result reported by the tournament organizer or verified esports news outlets, ensuring the market settles fairly based on the actual match outcome.
Market prices can shift based on recent player performance, roster changes, patch updates affecting game balance, and pre-match commentary from analysts. Injury or availability announcements, training footage, or head-to-head records may also influence trader sentiment. As the match date approaches, any news about either player's form, preparation, or external circumstances can trigger repricing. Live updates during the series itself will drive sharp movements as the actual outcome becomes clearer.
