Description

This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Lambo and SKillous in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 4:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lambo" if Lambo win the match against SKillous. This market will resolve to "SKillous" if SKillous win the match against Lambo. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Lambo vs SKillous StarCraft II match displays real-time odds, historical price movements, and trading activity. The primary contract tracks the Map Handicap outcome, where traders wager on whether Lambo will win by 1.5 or more maps, or whether SKillous will stay within that margin or win outright. The interface shows current implied probabilities, allowing traders to monitor how market sentiment shifts as the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D match approaches. Volume and liquidity metrics help traders assess market depth and execution quality.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders who have direct financial exposure to accuracy. For esports matchups like this one, sportsbooks may offer limited liquidity or wider spreads, whereas decentralized prediction markets can attract specialized gaming analysts and professional bettors. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines reveals whether the crowd is pricing the outcome more bullishly or bearishly than traditional oddsmakers.

This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D match between Lambo and SKillous concludes and the final result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the map score in the best-of-three series: if Lambo wins 2–0 or 2–1, the Map Handicap (-1.5) contract resolves to yes; if SKillous wins or the series goes to a close finish, it resolves to no. Traders should monitor official tournament broadcasts and results to confirm the exact map count before settlement.

Several factors could shift odds before the match begins. Recent tournament performance, map pool updates, and head-to-head records between Lambo and SKillous often influence trader positioning. Roster changes, player health or availability announcements, and pre-tournament commentary from esports analysts can trigger repricing. If either player streams or grants interviews hinting at strategy or confidence, that sentiment may ripple through the market. Closer to the event date, late-breaking news about format changes or bracket adjustments could also move implied probabilities. Active traders monitor community forums and social media for these signals.
