This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Lambo and LetaleX in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 12:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lambo" if Lambo win the match against LetaleX. This market will resolve to "LetaleX" if LetaleX win the match against Lambo. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders directly—creating a crowd-sourced probability estimate. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information more fluidly and can respond faster to breaking news or roster changes. For esports matchups, prediction market pricing may better capture niche community knowledge, though sportsbook odds remain a useful benchmark for comparing relative confidence across venues.
On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell volume. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome share trades between 0 and 1, with the price representing the implied probability that outcome occurs. As more traders back Lambo or LetaleX, the respective share price rises, and the competing outcome's price falls. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays liquid and responsive to new information about player form, map selection, and tournament context right up until the match begins.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the best-of-three series concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which player wins the majority of maps in the HomeStory Cup Group D matchup. Resolution occurs after the match is officially completed and confirmed through established esports coverage channels. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout once the result is finalized and the market settles.
Several factors could shift odds before this market resolves. Recent tournament performances by either player, map pool announcements, or coaching adjustments may influence trader sentiment. Technical issues, unexpected roster news, or injury reports could trigger sharp repricing. Live match momentum—such as one player winning the first map decisively—often drives significant movement in real-time trading. Commentary from respected esports analysts and community discussion on social media can also sway perception. Traders monitoring these signals actively adjust positions, making the market a dynamic reflection of evolving expectations.
