This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Lambo and Fjant in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 2:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lambo" if Lambo win the match against Fjant. This market will resolve to "Fjant" if Fjant win the match against Lambo. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate distributed beliefs from traders with real financial stakes. This market may show odds that differ from major esports betting sites, particularly if prediction market participants have unique information or different risk assessments. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest or where specialized knowledge creates pricing gaps.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome share trades between 0 and 1 dollar, with the price reflecting the collective probability estimate. When more traders buy shares for a particular player, that outcome's price rises and others fall accordingly. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to new developments and trader conviction throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which player wins the best-of-three series. Resolution depends on the official tournament broadcast and confirmed match records from HomeStory Cup XXIX organizers. Traders should monitor the event schedule and official channels to anticipate resolution timing and ensure they understand how the final score will be documented.
Market prices may shift based on recent player performance, map pool announcements, or head-to-head history between these competitors. Roster changes, player statements, or commentary from esports analysts can influence trader sentiment. Technical issues, scheduling delays, or unexpected format changes could also trigger repricing. Additionally, live match developments—such as early game advantages or map outcomes in the series—will likely cause sharp price movements as traders update their win probability estimates in real time.
