This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Lambo and BabyMarine in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 3:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lambo" if Lambo win the match against BabyMarine. This market will resolve to "BabyMarine" if BabyMarine win the match against Lambo. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate distributed trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show materially different implied probabilities than esports betting sites, particularly if professional StarCraft II analysts or insiders trade here. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong conviction among participants, with pricing continuously adjusting as new trades execute. Each contract represents a binary claim about a specific match result or map winner, and the price of each share directly translates to the implied probability of that outcome. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information or shifting sentiment.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the StarCraft II match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the actual match result as recorded by HomeStory Cup XXIX organizers and confirmed through official esports sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the event is officially concluded and verified.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Player roster changes, recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and map pool updates all influence trader expectations. Real-time match developments—such as early game advantages, player substitutions if allowed, or unexpected strategic shifts—typically trigger sharp price movements. Community sentiment on social media and esports forums can also sway perception. Additionally, any official announcements regarding format changes or technical delays may prompt repricing as participants reassess their positions.
