This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Krystianer and Shino in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A, initially scheduled for July 3 at 11:15AM ET. This market will resolve to "Krystianer" if Krystianer win the match against Shino. This market will resolve to "Shino" if Shino win the match against Krystianer. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders seeking accuracy and profit through direct price discovery. For esports matchups, prediction markets can sometimes react faster to roster changes, player form, or recent tournament results, whereas sportsbooks may move more cautiously to avoid sharp action. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs most.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome's price reflects the probability implied by the collective trades of all participants, with prices ranging from near 0 to 1 (or 0–100 percent). As new information emerges—such as player announcements or recent match results—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift in real time. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to changing expectations throughout the lead-up to the match.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the best-of-three series; the market will settle in favor of the victor as confirmed through official tournament records or reliable esports reporting. Traders should monitor HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A coverage to stay informed of any scheduling changes or postponements that might affect the resolution timeline.
Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Recent tournament performances by either player, roster or coaching announcements, and public statements about preparation or confidence can all influence trader sentiment. Technical issues or map pool changes announced by organizers may also matter. Injury reports, streaming commentary from respected analysts, and head-to-head historical records are frequently cited by traders reassessing probabilities. Additionally, any official delays or rescheduling of the HomeStory Cup fixture itself could prompt repricing as the event date approaches.
