This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Krystianer and Jumy in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A, initially scheduled for July 3 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Krystianer" if Krystianer win the match against Jumy. This market will resolve to "Jumy" if Jumy win the match against Krystianer. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may price the matchup differently than conventional sports betting sites, offering an alternative signal grounded in decentralized consensus rather than bookmaker models.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker mechanism where buying shares of an outcome increases its price and selling decreases it. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current probability reflects the aggregate of all trades placed on the platform, with prices updating continuously as new orders execute. Higher trading volume typically tightens spreads and improves price accuracy, while lower volume can widen the gap between bid and ask prices.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group A match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will reflect which player wins the best-of-three series, confirmed through tournament reporting and official records. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the event concludes, allowing traders to settle positions based on the verified result.
Key catalysts include recent tournament performances by both players, roster changes, patch updates affecting unit balance, and head-to-head matchup history. Injury or technical issues affecting either competitor could shift odds significantly. Media coverage, expert analysis, and betting patterns on other platforms may also influence trader sentiment. As the event date approaches, any roster announcements or pre-match commentary from the esports community could trigger repricing of this market.
