If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader positioning rather than fixed odds set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks manage risk and profit margins through their spreads, while prediction markets aggregate thousands of independent bets into a continuous price. This market may show different implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges or trading volume shifts. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money is leaning versus where the public is betting.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome reflects the aggregate confidence of all active traders at any given moment. Prices update continuously as new trades execute, meaning the implied probability you see changes in real time based on order flow and market sentiment. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and increases price accuracy.

This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by the official tournament result from HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, with the winner confirmed through established esports reporting channels. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information and match developments emerge.

Key catalysts include recent tournament performances by both players, roster changes or team announcements, map pool updates, and any public statements about preparation or form. Live match broadcasts and commentary can shift sentiment rapidly as gameplay unfolds. Player injury or technical issues, schedule delays, or unexpected roster swaps could also trigger repricing. Pre-match interviews and analyst predictions may influence trader positioning in the hours before the event begins.
