This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Fjant and BabyMarine in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 12:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Fjant" if Fjant win the match against BabyMarine. This market will resolve to "BabyMarine" if BabyMarine win the match against Fjant. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction market prices emerge from direct trader supply and demand. This market reflects what participants collectively believe will happen, often incorporating real-time information and expert analysis. Comparing this market's implied probability to sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus diverges, though sportsbooks may adjust faster due to professional sharp action and risk management constraints.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism where buying shares pushes the price up and selling pushes it down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The outcome with the highest implied probability currently reflects strong trader conviction, though prices remain fluid until resolution. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information, and wider bid-ask spreads may appear during low-activity periods, affecting execution costs for large orders.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which player wins the best-of-three series—either Fjant or BabyMarine will be confirmed as the victor. Resolution occurs after the final game is played and the winner is officially announced through HomeStory Cup coverage or verified esports databases.
Several factors may shift odds before the match begins. Recent tournament performances, head-to-head records, and player form in other competitions can influence trader sentiment. Roster changes, player statements, or injury news could trigger repricing. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and community discussion often drives late movement. Additionally, if either player competes in other events leading up to this fixture, their results may signal strength or vulnerability, prompting traders to adjust their positions accordingly.
