This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Clem and ShoWTimE in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B, initially scheduled for July 3 at 4:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Clem" if Clem win the match against ShoWTimE. This market will resolve to "ShoWTimE" if ShoWTimE win the match against Clem. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than major esports betting sites, depending on whether professional traders or casual bettors dominate activity. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest and where informed traders see value relative to conventional bookmaker pricing.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of liquidity allocated to it; as more capital flows into one side, that outcome's price rises and its implied probability increases. Traders profit by correctly predicting the match result and selling their shares at a higher price than they paid. The continuous pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the latest information and sentiment from all active participants in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B match between the two competitors concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official tournament bracket and match result as reported by the event organizers and esports community. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution timing may shift slightly if the match is delayed or rescheduled.
Several factors could shift odds before the match concludes. Recent tournament performances by either player, injury or technical issues affecting preparation, and head-to-head historical records often influence trader sentiment. Patch updates to the game or map pool changes for the event can favor one player's playstyle over another. Community analysis, expert commentary, and betting activity on related markets may also drive price movement. Closer to the event date, lineup confirmations and player statements about readiness typically attract increased trading volume and volatility.
