This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Clem and sebesdes in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B, initially scheduled for July 3 at 1:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Clem" if Clem win the match against sebesdes. This market will resolve to "sebesdes" if sebesdes win the match against Clem. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets rely on continuous trader participation to discover prices. This market aggregates the collective judgment of thousands of participants rather than a single oddsmaker. Many analysts find prediction market prices reflect deeper information and fewer biases, though direct comparison depends on the specific sportsbook and timing of the quote.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in a continuous order-book environment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost of a share reflects the crowd's belief in that outcome's probability, with prices adjusting instantly as new trades flow in. Higher demand for one outcome pushes its price up and the competing outcome's price down. This mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to new information and trader conviction throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the winner of the best-of-three series as confirmed through official tournament reporting and broadcast records. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final game's completion.
Market prices may shift based on recent player performance, head-to-head records, and any roster or format changes announced before the tournament. Real-time developments during the series—such as map selections, early game advantages, or unexpected upsets—can trigger sharp repricing as traders update their views. Pre-match analysis from professional commentators and community sentiment on social media often influence trader positioning. Injury reports or last-minute schedule adjustments could also drive meaningful moves in this market.
