This market refers to the StarCraft II match between BabyMarine and LetaleX in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 4:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "BabyMarine" if BabyMarine win the match against LetaleX. This market will resolve to "LetaleX" if LetaleX win the match against BabyMarine. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Esports betting markets can be less liquid than mainstream sports, so sportsbook lines may lag behind prediction market repricing when new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional bookmakers.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the HomeStory Cup Group D match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result as recorded by the tournament organizers and confirmed through established esports reporting channels. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares based on their expectations of the final score and series winner.
Several factors could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Recent head-to-head performance, patch updates affecting game balance, and player roster announcements can all influence expectations. Commentary from esports analysts and community discussion around player form or strategic preparation may also drive repricing. Unexpected technical issues, schedule changes, or injury news could create volatility. Additionally, early map results during the series itself will likely trigger sharp price movements as traders update their forecasts based on live performance.
