This market tracks the winner of the third set in the professional tennis match between Stan Wawrinka and Matteo Berrettini at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. One of the two players will win set 3 during this match.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 in the Stan Wawrinka vs Matteo Berrettini match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who profit from accurate forecasting. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a margin, whereas prediction markets can offer tighter spreads when liquidity is high. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities if you believe the consensus differs from bookmaker pricing. Many traders monitor both venues to identify mispricings and capitalize on arbitrage or directional conviction.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief about the likelihood of that player winning Set 3, with higher prices indicating stronger conviction. As new information emerges—such as player injuries, recent form, or court conditions—traders adjust their positions, moving the price dynamically. This decentralized pricing model allows you to enter or exit at any time during the market's active window, with your execution price determined by current supply and demand.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the third set of the Wawrinka vs Berrettini match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official tournament records. All open positions settle automatically based on the verified result, with winning traders receiving their payout and losing positions closing at zero. The exact resolution time may shift slightly if the match is delayed or rescheduled, but the end date provides your target window for when this market will be finalized.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Recent performance and head-to-head records between the two players often influence trader positioning, especially if one player enters the match on a hot streak. Court surface, weather conditions, and tournament stage can all affect player confidence and playing style. Injury reports or last-minute lineup changes will trigger sharp repricing. Media commentary and expert predictions may also sway retail traders. Additionally, the result of earlier sets in the same match will provide real-time information that traders incorporate immediately, potentially creating significant price movement as the match progresses.
