These markets track the number of aces (unreturnable serves) hit by each player during their 2026 Wimbledon first-round match. Stan Wawrinka needs 11+ aces to win his market, while Matteo Berrettini needs 16+ aces to win his market.
An ace is defined as a serve that lands in the service box and is not touched by the receiving player in any way—including their racket, body, or clothing—resulting in an immediate point for the server. The Stan Wawrinka market resolves to Yes if he records at least 11 total match aces; the Matteo Berrettini market resolves to Yes if he records at least 16 total match aces. Both markets are based on the full match of the Stan Wawrinka vs Matteo Berrettini professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins—due to player injury, walkover, forfeiture, or other cancellation—the markets will resolve to a fair price. If a retirement occurs during the match, both markets resolve based on the statistics officially completed and recorded prior to the match's discontinuation.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader positioning rather than a fixed bookmaker margin. On this market, odds can move more fluidly as new match information surfaces—player form, court conditions, or injury updates. Sportsbooks typically adjust more slowly and build in a house edge. Comparing the two reveals whether professional traders are pricing the outcome differently than the betting public, which can signal valuable insights into where informed money is flowing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different ace-count outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective belief of active traders at any given moment. As new bids and asks are placed, the odds adjust in real time. This decentralized pricing model means the market naturally incorporates all available information and trader conviction, creating a dynamic price discovery process throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the match concludes and the final ace count is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the total number of aces served by both players combined during the match. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final point, allowing traders to settle positions quickly. Until that moment, odds may continue shifting based on match commentary, player performance, and real-time updates.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Pre-match announcements—such as court surface conditions, weather forecasts, or player injury updates—often trigger repricing. During the match itself, early-set ace patterns provide strong signals; if one player is serving significantly more aces than expected, traders will adjust their positions accordingly. Momentum swings, fatigue, and tactical adjustments also matter. Real-time commentary and live score updates keep traders informed, causing continuous micro-adjustments to reflect the evolving match dynamics.
