Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, tends to be more efficient and reflects the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-stage developments.
