In the upcoming UEFA Europa League game between Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Heart of Midlothian FC, scheduled for August 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica vs. Heart of Midlothian FC match originally scheduled for August 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The market resolves to Yes only if the final score of the SL Benfica vs Heart of Midlothian FC professional Europa League soccer match, originally scheduled for August 6, 2026, matches exactly one of the specified outcomes after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Each market corresponds to a specific scoreline, ranging from a 0-0 draw to various winning margins for both teams, including draws and victories with precise goal differences. The resolution excludes results from extra time or penalty shootouts, meaning only the regular 90 minutes plus any added stoppage time counts toward determining the correct score. All markets are independent, and only the market matching the actual final score will resolve to Yes, with all others resolving to No.
Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the aggregated beliefs of a smaller, more engaged group of traders rather than the broader public or institutional betting pools. Sportsbooks may set lines to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets price in the actual probability as seen by participants. This can lead to tighter spreads or more extreme probabilities depending on recent performance news and trading volume. For example, a surprise lineup change or weather update could shift market odds more quickly than sportsbook lines, which update less frequently to manage risk.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user base, liquidity, and trading activity. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts distinct participants, from retail traders to niche enthusiasts, which shapes how probabilities are assessed. Liquidity levels also play a role—if one venue has deeper order books, its prices may appear more stable. Additionally, event-specific narratives or regional biases can influence sentiment differently across platforms, leading to varied implied probabilities for the same exact score outcome.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions on match day, or strategic tactical shifts announced by coaches can all shift this market. Strong recent form from either team, especially in high-profile friendly matches, may also influence trader sentiment. Media narratives—such as pre-game analysis or controversy—often create short-term volatility. Any development that changes the perceived likelihood of specific scorelines—whether through player performance, referee appointments, or venue conditions—can cause probabilities to adjust rapidly as traders react.
