If the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, or official final card totals for Spain and Germany are not available by that time, this market will resolve to "NO." The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.com; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different liquidity pools and trader bases. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by decentralized trader consensus. Sportsbooks may shade odds toward favorites to protect margins, whereas this market's price emerges from direct supply and demand. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional oddsmakers and retail traders disagree on Spain's likelihood of accumulating fewer cards than Germany.

On Limitless, this market is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the current ratio of capital allocated to "Yes" (Spain receives fewer cards) versus "No" (Germany receives fewer or equal cards). As more traders bet on one side, the price adjusts automatically. Your potential payout depends on the final price at which you exit or hold until resolution.

This market resolves around Jun 28, 2026, once the group stage matches conclude and final card totals are confirmed. The outcome is determined by comparing the total number of yellow and red cards issued to each team across all their group fixtures. Spain must receive strictly fewer cards than Germany for the "Yes" outcome to win. Resolution is verified against credible public reporting from the tournament's official records and major sports data providers.

Key disciplinary trends, team lineups, and referee assignments can shift odds significantly. If Spain's star players accumulate early yellows or face suspension, traders may sell "Yes" shares, pushing the price down. Conversely, if Germany receives multiple cards in their opening match, demand for "Yes" could spike. Injury news affecting defensive stability, coaching changes, or historical head-to-head card patterns also influence expectations. Live group-stage results will be the strongest catalyst, as actual card counts replace speculation and narrow the outcome range.
