If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, or official final match totals for Spain and Brazil are not available within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "NO." The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.com; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds serve different purposes. Sportsbooks focus on head-to-head match outcomes and set odds to balance liability; prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs about a specific event outcome over time. This market reflects the collective forecast of participants who profit or lose based on accuracy, creating incentives for informed pricing. While sportsbooks may offer related World Cup props, the odds here are determined by supply and demand among traders rather than a bookmaker's margin model.
On Limitless, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing "Yes" (Spain plays more matches) or "No" (Brazil plays more or equal matches). On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the current bid-ask spread and cumulative trading interest. As new information emerges—such as group assignments, injury reports, or tournament bracket projections—traders adjust their positions, moving the price to equilibrate supply and demand.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, after the 2026 World Cup concludes. The outcome is determined by comparing the total number of matches played by Spain against the total number played by Brazil throughout the tournament. Once the final match counts are verified against credible public sources, the market settles to "Yes" if Spain's count exceeds Brazil's, or "No" otherwise. Early exits or advancement through knockout rounds will directly influence each team's final tally.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly. The official 2026 World Cup group draw will reveal each team's opponents and preliminary match schedule. Injuries to key players, coaching changes, or qualifying-round performance will signal tournament strength. As the tournament begins, actual group-stage results will determine advancement odds; a team's early elimination reduces its match count, while progression to later rounds increases it. Media coverage of form, tactical adjustments, and bracket projections will also influence trader positioning throughout the event.
