The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders wagering real money on outcomes they believe will occur. Prediction markets tend to incorporate dispersed information quickly and can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing than traditional sportsbooks. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads on major events. Comparing this market's odds to your preferred sportsbook can reveal opportunities where one venue prices a particular scoreline more favorably than the other.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds for each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares in the scoreline they believe will occur, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As more capital flows into a particular outcome, its price rises; conversely, if traders reduce positions, the price falls. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the odds stay responsive to new information and trader conviction throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, once the South Melbourne versus Adelaide match concludes and the final scoreline is confirmed. The outcome will be verified against credible public sources to ensure accuracy. Until that point, traders can continue buying and selling shares in their preferred exact score outcome. Resolution is automatic once the final whistle sounds and the official result is recorded, so there is no ambiguity about which scoreline wins.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—injuries to key players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes—often triggers sharp repricing. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions can also influence trader expectations about scoring patterns. Once the match begins, live action will drive continuous repricing: an early goal, a red card, or a goalkeeper injury can dramatically alter the probability of specific scorelines. Late-breaking injury reports or lineup confirmations closer to kickoff typically generate the most volatile price movements as traders adjust their positions.
