This set of markets tracks the point differential in a college football matchup, allowing participants to bet on whether one team will win by a specific margin. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of points, making it possible to assess varying levels of victory for either team.
All markets resolve based on the official final point differential from the South Alabama vs Tulane college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If Tulane wins by exceeding the specified point margin, the corresponding 'Tulane wins by over X points' market resolves to Yes; if South Alabama wins by exceeding its specified margin, the respective 'South Alabama wins by over X points' market resolves to Yes. If neither team meets their respective threshold, all markets resolve to No. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of the original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there’s significant public interest. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, especially if they diverge substantially from the consensus in this market. It’s worthwhile to compare both to inform your own predictions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different spread outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders buy contracts for a particular spread, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading volume provide insights into the level of confidence traders have in their predictions. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final spread will be determined by the official result of the South Alabama vs Tulane football game. The resolution will be based on the point spread at the end of the game, as reported by official sources. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct spread will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect spreads will forfeit their investment. The market’s resolution ensures a transparent and objective determination of the outcome.
Several factors could influence this market before the game takes place. News regarding key player injuries for either South Alabama or Tulane would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest adverse conditions, could also impact the spread. Unexpected coaching decisions or shifts in team strategy revealed in pre-game reports could also influence trader sentiment. Finally, any large-volume trades on Kalshi could signal informed activity and potentially shift the market’s direction. Monitoring these signals can help you assess potential opportunities.
