These markets evaluate different thresholds of points scored by both teams combined in the first half of a college football game. Each threshold represents a specific point total that, if exceeded, determines the outcome of that particular market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the first half of the South Alabama vs Tulane college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 41.5 points. If the combined score exceeds the specified threshold for a given market, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For games postponed but starting within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the first half count toward these markets.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available—such as injury reports or weather forecasts—and as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets offering more accurate probabilities, particularly closer to the event, as they incorporate a wider range of perspectives and react quickly to new data.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the first half total will be over or under a certain number. The price of these contracts reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price will move based on supply and demand; if more people believe the total will be over, the 'over' contract price will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to efficiently incorporate new information and adjust probabilities in real-time.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final first half total of the South Alabama vs Tulane game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics reported by a trusted sports data source. The total points scored by both teams in the first half will be the determining factor, and the market will settle based on whether that total is above or below the threshold defined by the contracts available on Kalshi. Traders will then receive payouts based on their positions.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either South Alabama or Tulane would likely cause movement, as would changes in the weather forecast—particularly conditions that could affect scoring. Significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected line movements in sportsbooks could prompt traders to reassess their positions. Finally, any late-breaking news related to team strategy or coaching decisions could also move this market before Sep 13, 2026.
