A women's T20 World Cup cricket match between South Africa and the Netherlands scheduled for June 25, 2026 at 1:30 PM EDT. The market resolves based on which team wins the match.
Resolution depends on the match outcome and circumstances. If either team wins and an official winner is declared, the market resolves Yes for that team. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. If a forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurs before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. If such an event occurs after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, the market resolves based on that declared result. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like Kalshi are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because participants have direct financial exposure to accuracy. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities, though both venues update continuously as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief of all active traders at that moment. As new information surfaces—team news, injury reports, or betting patterns—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit, and the market price updates in real time based on supply and demand.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring clarity and finality for all traders. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as new developments or pre-match analysis influence trader behavior. Resolution happens automatically once the event is complete and the data is confirmed.
Several catalysts could shift prices significantly before the match. Team announcements—such as player injuries, roster changes, or tactical shifts—often trigger sharp moves. Weather forecasts, pitch conditions, and venue-specific factors can also sway trader sentiment. Recent form, head-to-head records, and betting patterns from major sportsbooks may influence perception. Breaking news about player availability or last-minute lineup decisions typically generates the most volatile trading activity in the final hours before play begins.
