Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader consensus rather than bookmaker risk management. Sportsbooks adjust odds to balance liability; prediction markets aggregate beliefs of thousands of independent traders with real financial stakes. For the South Africa vs. Korea Republic second-half result, prediction market odds may move faster in response to team news, injuries, or tactical shifts, while sportsbooks may lag or apply wider margins. Comparing the two venues reveals whether professional traders or casual bettors are driving sentiment on either side.

On Polymarket, the South Africa vs. Korea Republic second-half outcome is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades independently; the price of each reflects the cumulative buy and sell pressure from traders. As the match progresses and new information emerges—such as goals, injuries, or tactical changes—traders adjust their positions, moving prices to reflect updated expectations. The spread between bid and ask prices indicates market liquidity and confidence in the outcome.

The South Africa vs. Korea Republic second-half market resolves at Jun 25, 2026. Resolution is determined by the official result of the second half of the match between the two teams. The outcome will reflect which team scores more goals in the second half, or whether the second half ends in a draw, depending on the specific market structure. Once the final whistle sounds and the official result is confirmed, the market settles and winning positions are credited.

Key catalysts for price movement include team lineups and injury announcements before kickoff, which shift expectations about attacking and defensive capability. Early first-half performance—goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments—will heavily influence second-half pricing as traders reassess momentum and fatigue. Substitutions and tactical changes at halftime are critical; a team bringing on fresh attacking talent or shifting formation can dramatically alter second-half win probability. Weather conditions, referee decisions, and psychological factors such as trailing or leading at halftime also drive trader sentiment and price volatility.
