Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic based on the official final score from CBF (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with consistent handling of postponements, cancellations, and incomplete matches.
Primary resolution logic:
Official final score published on cbf.com.br (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol); if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, consensus of credible reporting may be used.
Core resolution logic:
All markets resolve based on the combined or individual goal totals achieved within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Over/Under markets (O/U 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5) resolve YES if combined goals meet or exceed the threshold, NO if below.
Spread markets resolve based on goal differential: São Paulo (-1.5) resolves YES if São Paulo wins by 2+ goals; São Paulo (-2.5) resolves YES if by 3+ goals; Mirassol spreads follow the same logic in reverse.
Both Teams to Score resolves YES only if both teams score at least one goal each; NO if either team scores zero.
If the game is postponed, markets remain open until completion. If canceled with no make-up, all markets resolve 50-50. If started but not completed, resolution uses the official final score published on cbf.com.br.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Postponement and Rescheduling: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and do not resolve until the game is completed on the rescheduled date.
Cancellation Without Make-up: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, all markets in the group resolve 50-50.
Incomplete Match: If the match is started but not completed (e.g., abandoned), resolution uses the official final score as published by cbf.com.br at that point.
Delayed Official Statistics: If CBF does not publish final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting sources may be used as the resolution basis.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon publication of the official final score by CBF (cbf.com.br) or within 2 hours post-match; if official statistics are not available, resolution uses consensus credible reporting. All resolution is based on the 90-minute plus stoppage time result only.
