In the upcoming Brazil Serie B game between São Bernardo FC and Avaí FC, scheduled for July 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the São Bernardo FC vs. Avaí FC match originally scheduled for July 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs about the true probability. This market aggregates the views of many independent forecasters without a built-in house edge, sometimes revealing sharper or more contrarian assessments than conventional betting lines, especially for niche outcomes like exact scores.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure for each exact scoreline. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into a particular outcome, the higher its price rises; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures that odds reflect the latest consensus among active traders and incorporates new developments—injury reports, weather, team form—almost instantly, keeping the market efficient and responsive.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the final scoreline is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources reporting the official result. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as traders update their forecasts based on team news, betting patterns, and any other signals they believe predict the final score. Early resolution is not typical unless the match is abandoned or postponed under extraordinary circumstances.
Key catalysts include injury announcements to star players, lineup confirmations, recent form and head-to-head records, and weather conditions on match day. Betting syndicates and sharp traders often move the market ahead of public news, so unusual volume spikes or price shifts can signal informed positioning. Team motivation—whether either side is already mathematically safe or fighting for promotion—also influences expected goal output and tactical approach, making scoreline probabilities dynamic right up to kickoff.
