Description

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Fundamental market structure divergence: Polymarket uses a team-outcome binary while Kalshi uses a game-occurrence binaryHero tip: Do not treat Kalshi's Yes as equivalent to either team's win on Polymarket. Kalshi resolves Yes if either team wins, making it a fundamentally different market contract

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary market resolving to 'Slovenia' for Slovenia win, 'Hungary' for Hungary win, 50-50 for full cancellation with no makeup game. Spread market resolves Hungary only if they win by 12+ points.
  • Kalshi: Yes/No market that resolves Yes if either team wins the game (regardless of which team), creating a fundamental logic mismatch with Polymarket's team-specific outcomes.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Polymarket

In the upcoming FIBA WCQ Europe game, scheduled for August 30 at 6:00AM ET: If the Slovenia win, the market will resolve to "Slovenia". If the Hungary win, the market will resolve to "Hungary". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods.

Kalshi

Markets resolve to Yes if the indicated team wins the scheduled men's professional FIBA World Cup Qualifiers basketball game. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original start time, markets remain active and resolve according to the final outcome. If the game is cancelled or does not begin within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is unrelated to the Governing League, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
