On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its shares will climb. This creates a dynamic pricing system that reflects the aggregated intelligence of the crowd, constantly adjusting as new information becomes available or opinions shift.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Skhabitskiy vs. Stetsenko match, as declared by the governing sports authority. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout equivalent to the final market price of their shares, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market leading up to Oct 5, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Public announcements about the players’ physical condition or training regimens are also likely to have an impact. Furthermore, broader trends in the sport, such as shifts in playing styles or the emergence of new talent, could indirectly affect how traders assess the probabilities of each outcome. Unexpected upsets in related matches could also influence the market.
