Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s odds are driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the market perceives information differently than bookmakers, or that one venue has a more efficient market.
