Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in modeling approaches. It's common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by the most recent trades and the overall demand for shares in that outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Skhabitskiy vs. Mytsyk match as determined by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the outcome against established sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final result.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding the condition of either fighter, such as injuries or illness, would likely have a significant impact. Updates on their training regimens or changes in their coaching staff could also shift the odds. Public sentiment, reflected in media coverage and social media discussions, can also play a role, as can any unexpected developments related to the event's scheduling or location. These signals will be reflected in the trading activity on Polymarket.
