Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market evolves continuously as traders react to news and information, potentially offering a more accurate forecast. It's common to see differences in implied probabilities between this market and sportsbook offerings.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome of the second half of the Sturm Graz vs. LASK match. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price converges towards a consensus view. The higher the price of a share, the greater the perceived chance of that outcome. This dynamic pricing allows for a constantly updated assessment of the event's potential results.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Sturm Graz vs. LASK match, as determined by the governing football authority. The market will determine which outcome—Sturm Graz winning, LASK Linz winning, or a draw—occurred during the second half. All trading will cease upon resolution, and shares will be settled accordingly based on the verified result.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team tactics for either Sturm Graz or LASK Linz could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match commentary from key analysts, could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half, such as early goals or red cards, are likely to cause substantial price movements. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
